It has been very hot lately. Tuesday we did a lot of garden work. Jacob rotor–tilled a lot and we put cages around the tomatoes. Since it was really hot, we all went swimming in the afternoon. Wednesday Jacob had an ortho appointment and we needed groceries so Mom and Jacob went to Aldi before the appointment. While they were gone I made bread and we did some housework. The littles went swimming in the backyard because it was so hot. Today Mom and Aunt Sarah went out for breakfast and to do some errands. It was cloudy and looking like rain this morning. It cleared off and is a little cooler but very humid so we went swimming this afternoon at Uncle Jerry’s.

The watermelons are small but they are mighty and are going to produce lots this year (we hope!!)
The cantaloupe are slightly farther along. The big one in the back was the only one that came up from the first planting, so we replanted. The replants are just coming up.
School one morning this week.
