Memorial Day weekend U. Jeff’s came out so on Sunday all the Steiners (except Grandma, who was sick) got together to celebrate Grandma’s birthday and to see everybody.

Levi and Echo came too, and I got to hold Kiowa, who was just being adorable.

We younger kids played some Frisbee 500 too.

The little boys rode bikes while most of us girls drew chalk. **rest of these px came from A. Jill. Thanks again!!

Leah, Andrew, Samuel, and Marie weren’t here but Aaron, Kate, and Tess all hung out together like usual. They’re all 17 now.

During supper Aaron reached over at Ben, and slowly the bench just sank.

Good times with the Kaiser crowd at Uncle Mark’s on Saturday night. I only had my phone and didn’t take many px, and many of them didn’t turn out very well – so here are just a few for the record.

Beautiful evening to be outside – kids spent a lot of time in the pool even though it was really cool out.

Highlight for Josh was a ride in the kayak. He did a great job!

Ninth Annual MCA Open House/Recital

Monday night the Koch boys came over for TMB practice. They ended up doing Sally Ups afterwards. Those take a ton of muscle!!

Tuesday it rained all day and we went to Restmor. Echo went with us and then afterwards Roxy and Echo both came back here for lunch and play. Nick wanted a picture of his truck so he wouldn’t forget how to make it next time.

Wednesday Mom and Dad took a few calves to the salebarn.

Later we went and watched them get auctioned. This great big tom cat came right over to us. He was the friendliest thing.

Last night we had the Ninth Annual Meadowview Christian Academy Open House/Recital.

Kiowa was baffled with the tassel.

Jesse got out the blast furnace a little bit. Some of the almost-finished results.

Week

One day last week we wanted to go wading down at the lake, but since it was mossy we just rowed canoes and boats around.

Monday Sarah made dirt dessert.

Jesse skinned a snake Monday evening. This was from U. Mark’s lake that the boys killed when they were trapping muskrats there.

Happy mouse in the Kaiser Zoo.

A. Renee found a possum nest in their pool bench and called Kaiser Brothers Pest Control to come and get rid of it. Jesse took care of it after work, and on the way home he picked up this painted turtle which we named Thomas Edison (Ed) The Turtle.

Jacob took the air rifle and we went down to the lake to go after frogs.

Kaitlyn rode Skeet down there too.

Jesse got out the blow furnace. Again.

Dad and the kids began putting Mom’s new swing together.

Dad read Soup 1776 out loud.

Tuesday for lunch Echo came over.

We had to show Ed to Echo also.

Tuesday evening we babysat the Baers. Whenever they come over Jack goes “Katie, wide.” He just loves fourwheeler rides and he was taken on multiple rides.

Monday when Jesse was skinning the snake Jacob walked up with another snake and kinda tossed him on the cardboard. We haven’t named him yet.

Wednesday we kept Jack and Ella in the morning and then Jenna and Echo came over for lunch.

Wednesday afternoon there were bad dust storms everywhere. Tori took this picture on Broadway coming home from work.

Thursday we went to Pekin with Mom. During the evening Josh, Tori, and Sarah named Callie’s kitten Silly Billy.

Friday was cold and cloudy all day. We did Friday jobs and lots of baking.
