This summer has flown by mostly because Tremont hosted a church conference and we’re hosting the extended Kaiser family Saturday and because we’ve had a lot of peaches to pick and distribute and process. And eat
As of yesterday, the peach trees are empty and we had to take a few down because they were old and had weak trunk/branches. Sad/not sad. They were hard to pick because most lower branches were long dead and gone; high peaches are still delicious but just way harder to get. I was on a Very High Ladder a lot this summer which was a little tense but ladders are put away now and I never fell so all is good. It’s been a very hot summer and I for one am ready for fall. Kids are looking to start school soon and so life keeps going. One day at a time. Have a great fall y’all.
