September 2025
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Wedding Weekend: Rehearsal Dinner

Once again thankful for the use of the Encore building; also grateful to the Sauder/Rockes for a blessed rehearsal dinner and evening.

After a delicious dinner, Eric opened up the sharing time with a few thoughts; then others chimed in with memories and advice for Wes and Jewel.

(I wasn't at the right angle for a picture of Grandpa Stoller)

Whitley created a special slideshow celebrating Wes and Jewel.

Then our family sang a prayer for them, and then Wes and Jewel shared a few thoughts,

and then that was the end.

Thanks again Sauder/Rockes for a blessed evening!

Wedding Weekend: Saturday Morning Pictures

First - one beautiful sneak peek from Elsie

Next - candids from my phone camera.

Who is taller?!

Who traded shoes with Dad because the CSMenswear staff told him shoes and belt were to be brown??

And who quick flipped his belt to the proper color?

Everything turned out fine!

Introducing the ICC Horticulture Gardens.
Absolutely beautiful scenery. Once the early morning misty drizzle ended, it turned out to be a beautiful cool day for pictures. I didn't even know such a place existed, but I highly recommend it. We had the Luthy Botanical Gardens on backup in case the rain increased; but it ended soon after we arrived so all was well.

These two from Natalie ~

!!!
Kiowa did a great job when Lennon spit up a bit - it got on no person and no clothing😊

Kaitlyn was doing a great job making kids smile. Then I took the toy to make Bennett smile and forgot to get a candid of them! No worries though - these snapshots are just a preview of better things to come. Elsie's px are far superior and I'll post those at some point too.
