One last picture of this lil guy……he sure did enjoy his icecream cone.

Tremont hosted an invite-a-friend a few weeks ago. Tori invited Erin and Emily.

Corey and Garrett stopped by one evening. Corey took the boys on some quick rides on his new bike.

We made 57 quarts of tomato juice on our first “big” tomato day.

Fiiiiinally a couple weeks ago the dock came. We got it put together in a few days and have used it every chance we get. Our whole family can be climbing on&off and jumping from it and it hardly rocks at all. It’s super stable. Now that the weather has cooled off, we probably won’t use it much this season anymore.

The ladder off the one side makes it easy to get on to (although it’s lifted up in this px to keep it from growing moss and getting slick when its not getting used).

Onions did great this year.

Another 32 quarts added to the shelf on Saturday……

We had an ok watermelon harvest this year. Keep in mind, a lot of those little ones will end up getting thrown to the chickens because they probably won’t have good taste. But the big one that I cut today was perfect!

Matt & Tiffany came this past weekend. They got here around noon on Saturday and took off after church on Sunday.

Josh has been big into catching bugs and butterflies this summer. He has spent many happy hours with his trusty net.

Also fourwheeler times are a big hit for his day.

And that about brings us up to date with this ol’ blog. Nothin’ much happening. We’re all glad the heat finally broke Saturday night, and let me tell ya, upper 70s/lower 80s feels pretty cool after battling heat indexes of over 100 for so much of the summer. Garden is getting wrapped up and we are all looking forward to harvest which is just around the corner. School is going almost full throttle, and I’m already ready for ice skating!

One sweaty wet from volleyball and one snuggly warm ready for bed!

Thursday morning after Wyatt & Bristol got picked up, I left for a couple wonderful days with the Kaiser Girls – Grandma Kaiser and the aunts (minus A. Renee who we missed greatly). Back home, they hardly missed me in part thanks to A. Sarah who took the three littles for a portion of each day. Thanks ASK!

New project on Thursday evening - - - a wall?

A dock for Dave’s pond! Fast forward to Saturday morning - - - all hands on deck to take the frame to the beach to be finished.

After lunch - attaching anchors,

and done just in time to have a blast of a time as the sun finally came out! We dropped the anchors at a spot that’s about 12 feet deep, so Jewel could finally learn how to dive - - - which she did and had a blast! Well, everyone else did too, but diving is new to her so she couldn’t get enough of it!

The dock looked so huge in the shed and on the beach but looks so little on the pond - - - but it’s plenty big enough for a great time for us all. Haven’t figured out yet how to get the camera out there as it’s not waterproof .
