Life Beyond The Pictures - October 2025

Hello Steiners.

Grandbaby #9 arrived safely to Jason & Kaitlyn a few weeks ago. Bennett William Baer has been a good baby so far; he is also the cutest grandbaby so far. Why do I have the feeling that grandbaby #10, due to Jacob & Natalie in April, will be even cuter? They are all so precious and we cherish each one. 

That's our only real news this time around. Everything else is pretty muchly the same: school and work and faith and family and friends and doing what needs to be done and trying to prioritize all the balls we're juggling so none get dropped. The last few months have been so busy it makes my head spin thinking about everything that happened...but nothing spectacular so I won't bore you with details.

We were glad UJeff & AJill could come for our annual Steiner wiener roast, hosted at UDave's on a Friday night - of which I took no px (Idk why😑)

I enjoyed a lovely brunch with these very special ladies on a Saturday morning -

And then that evening some of us enjoyed getting together with some of our Rinkenberger kin (again no px😒).

And then we celebrated a Very Special Grandpa who turned 95.

And then that night we had a crowd here for family px and then dinner...

but that's another post for another day.

I don't know the exact order of these pictures. I don't know who took them all either. I do know that this grandma is completely smitten with this little man. What an amazing miracle. Each grandbaby gets sweeter and more precious than the others. How does this even work?

 

Well Hello September

 

Some of us enjoyed a Labor Day cookout at Baer Pond. Sarah & Jewel were somewhere with tyg but I don't remember where.

Josh had a sweet fan club

Baby Jonathan tree produced for the first time...apples were beautiful just not plentiful.

Horse pen repair. This was a Saturday project -

and I think Levi's were getting horse manure for their garden.

We stopped by Jesse's for something sometime and enjoyed a trek to the river behind their house. 

Garage sale bargain - and I had a crowd of help to clean it! They did a great job, and Kaitlyn got a really nice vintage toy kitchen for cheap...just like the one she grew up with. I hope her littles enjoy this one as much as my littles and grandlittles enjoy ours.

Kiowa does such a great job leading the cousin pack and taking care of the littlest littles. This troupe is such a blessing

Another Saturday... they were getting more manure I think.

I did a treasure hunt one evening. Littles loved it💙

I did not go carp bashing but the crew who did had a great time. I do not understand this.

These were stills I screenshotted from videos. One video showed Jacob getting completely smacked in the face by a carp. How fun is that?!

Annual chili supper was another warm but lovely evening. This little sweetheart just melts me regardless💕

Not a lot of Fuji this year but they were delicious. Crazy sweet.

And if I had to picture her mommy at this age, I would picture something pretty close to this - kitty included.
