8-9-11 Moving Day

Yesterday was a big moving day here at the Kaiser Ranch. In preparation for our almost-here school year, we did some room rearranging and reorganizing. It was a lot of work, but we’re all very happy with the results.

First, a flashback to Sunday morning before church at Wisconsin Dells (thank you Carmen for the picture!):

First move yesterday: baby crib down. Very bittersweet.  I’d be more than happy to use it again, but at this point it’s not likely; and my motto of use-it–or-lose-it remains. So it’s awaiting a new home.

Ben’s new look: his study table in his room will help him to concentrate and get his work done more quickly and correctly. He likes it!

The girls’ room is now the little girls’ room, as Kate and Tori moved out. Last year it was kind of a struggle at times to get Tori and Kate up and going without waking up Sarah and Jewel who naturally need more sleep, and who don’t have as much studying to do. They like their new look too – Sarah wanted to do her school last night just so she could use her study table! :)

And the former schoolroom is now Tori and Kate’s bedroom. Very cozy, and very practical with each of them having their own desk and storage area. 

 

 

 

Last night’s Bibletime -

Heehee. Our new used couch (thank you Christy!) which we picked up at AB’s last night – 3 minutes before the storm hit!! Hindsight is 20/20, of course, and we should have waited 10 minutes for the storm to pass before heading for home, but oh no, we thought it wouldn’t rain. We were wrong – it got soaked!! But a day of drying in the sun and wind and it’s as good as new. Smells fresh now too! :)

The grouchy thing was that we only got .2” of rain out of the deluge – and it ended about 5 minutes after we got home!!!!!!! Hardly any rain, and a soaking wet couch – gotta love that!!
