July 2026
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

5-22-11 Senior Breakfast

Dad & I went to the Senior breakfast with Levi this morning. The food and fellowship were wonderful, and we enjoyed hearing what Levi’s classmates are planning to do next.

L-R front: Brandon Rose (eng.), Caitlyn Wagenbach (air national guard), Nichole Wagenbach (volleyball at ICC, can’t remember area of study), Lynelle Fehr (ICC, transfer to nursing program (I think)), Emily Wagenbach (CNA @ Eureka Nursing Home, possibly nursing school later), Paige Bolliger (I can’t remember), Ashley Kilgus (I can’t remember), Patrick Simms (4 year football at Eureka College, undecided major). (I think.) It bugs me that I can’t remember what Paige & Ashley said. Ah well, maybe one of my faithful (haha) blog followers will leave a comment so we can all know :)

We had a wonderful day at church, an amazing thunderstorm after church, and a good time fellowshipping with good friends after supper. But I’ll leave that for Kate to tell about tomorrow.

    Thank you KK!! - I was kind of hoping you'd comment and finish the loop for me. And you're right... I remember both of them saying that now - and I think Paige actually said math education, and Ashley said occupational therapy assistant.
