Week In Review

Our week was a blink. Nothing spectacular happened, unless you count turning off the air conditioning a spectacular event. Which it actually kind of is since it was such a hot summer the AC ran almost non-stop for weeks on end and since September brought us just those few cool days and then BAM we were right back in the heat & humidity of summer - - - so yes. Turning off the AC was a noteworthy event. And so were walks with my sweatshirt and stretchpants AND winter coat. Zippy cold and crisp days in between a few gray rainy days too. Welcome, Fall. Thankful that God’s word says, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:22)  Love that promise. Love this time of year. Thankful it’s here!

Jacob clocked Kate and Diamond; report is that they were doing just under 35mph.

Friday - - -

- - - was rainy much of the day, but it cleared off beautifully in time for a campfire supper. Well, not as in we cooked over the campfire (which we did cook dessert, I guess), but we ate supper beside the campfire. Was a perfect night for chili and monkey bread, although I think most of the kids agreed that the meal would’ve been just fine without the chili. Haha.

And oh yes, the roaring fire did feel great!

Glad that Levi & Echo stopped in after harvest. No they weren’t sleeping; I guess the camera flash made them blink!
