Yesterday afternoon Dad and Mom took the three little kids to the fire department open house. They ate lots of popcorn and a rode a fire truck. Josh said he had a lot of fun.
Sunday evening we went to A. Sarah’s house. Littles had fun reading and playing. We all had a good time.
Jewel and Josh found a fun spot to play while we practiced music this morning.
…continues to fly by, and oh how busy it is…
busy yes…
but busy good…
busy and oh so blessed…
Daddy’s stories are the best.
So fun to play dress-up.
Cold + rain = puzzlemania.
Tile came yesterday.
Yesterday Kevin came by for an hour or so to lay bathroom floor tile.
More inside fun.
Siding is here too…
And today Kevin was back to do a huge chunk of kitchen floor tiling.
It looks great!
Kevin thought he & Jesse would finish up Monday…
then we’re ready for carpenters to trim before carpet is installed…
and when Dad & Jacob picked up the tile yesterday, they saw a roll of carpet that was labeled “Kaiser”…
which means that maybe…
just maybe…
it is ours…
??!

We do have other cats besides Spanky and Boss. We have several pretty ones that are very tame that just don’t come up to the house.

Did you find the airplane?

One day Ted and his friends Ed, Fred, and Ned were walking through the woods of Montana when they came to a mountain stream. There were some trout in it. “Perfect,” said Ed. “This is why I brought my fishing rod.” He caught some trout. Ned had some matches, so he started a fire and cooked the fish. Then the boys ate them.
They kept walking until they came to a canyon. The boys climbed down into the canyon. There was a stream. The boys walked upstream. Soon there was a waterfall. “Let’s climb to the top,” Fred said. So up they went. The waterfall was only 25 feet so they jumped into the pool of water below. They did it three more times.
“Jumping off waterfalls is fun,” Ted said. They climbed back up the side of the canyon. They sat on a rock until their clothes dried.
“Let’s go home,” Ed said.
“I think we’re lost,” Ned said.
Fred climbed to the top of a tree. “Home is that way,” he said, pointing to the west. They started for home. They ate some cooked fish. Soon they were home.
“That was fun,” Fred said.
They all agreed.

So yesterday (Monday) was another beautiful fall day, just a normal day of school, work, and play…
Haha.
Except for cement board installation 
Mortar abounded and not once did kids trip into it, good deal.
And shower tile installation which bothered us not the slightest.
And we picked a few bushels of apples at U. Randy’s.
And I ran to Morton for…..guess what? More paint!
Okay, other than that – completely calm, routine, normal, almost boring.
Well, today – CII finished up the insulation which made for another interesting morning.
(and lots more flies ----)
And Timothy ran the ripper all day and was very patient with passengers which made many little kids VERY happy. That is a HUGE tractor!!

Calves are looking good.
This little guy?girl was born Friday. Pretty cute!
A dry summer meant the lake didn’t fill up much. Last August that project started.
We had a fire last evening.
Of course Boss had to Join us (the cat).
Can’t forget Spanky.
Levi was a little hungry for marshmallows.
The boys moved the stove and frig out of the kitchen so Fischers could put cement board down today (which has to be down before tile).
(why the spots? I don’t know)
