Friday morning Leann dropped Lainey off at our house. We had her all day and by 3:00 mom went and picked the other kiddos up from school. They stayed overnight, and for awhile on Saturday.
It’s much funner (is that a word?) working in the kitchen if Lainey is watching.
She also ‘helped’ me make rolls. She got almost as floury as I did.
After mom got the school kids home from school, it was very crazy which is actually pretty normal when Jacob and Wesley are together. It was obviously raining in this picture which is why Wesley and Jacob were confined to the house.
Two big things attacked Mom’s toes.
Ben, Wes, and Jake did a water drive which included driving very quickly through a ditch full of water. After the first time Jake took his phone and wallet out of his pocket.
Friday evening Jesse and Tori were at young group, Dad and Mom went to potluck, and Jake and I stayed home with all the kids. Oh ya and Levi was at Echo’s. LEGO’s was sorta the new thing around here at the time and since it rained most of Friday (over 3 inches of rain in all) the Legos were played with a lot. After supper we played a bit more then had a huge Lego war which consists of throwing Legos at each others’ forts. Unfortunately Lexi and Whitley both ended up with minor injures and they had to retreat to the girls’ room. The forts didn’t stand a chance and it was over in a matter of minutes. After that we had to clean everything up and there were Legos EVERYWHERE in the basement. It didn’t take long though with a lot of kids helping.
That night these guys slept outside……in the rain. Which may or may not be why they look so zonked out.
Friday night late (or Saturday morning early) U. Jeff's got here. I was in bed as was most of the household. They came for Samuel’s baptism in Congerville. Saturday morning Mom, U. Jeff, and A. Jill went to a brunch with some of their cousins. Leah and Andrew hung around with us. After lunch they all four went to U. Dave’s.
Saturday was a beautiful day so it was spent mostly outside. I helped Wes get the weed-eater bike going.
We went on lots of four wheeler rides, jumped on the trampoline, and did lots of other fun outside things. At one point Jake took the kids on the Oregon trail with the four wheeler.
There was some calmer inside time too.
Sunday we went to Congerville for church and baptisms. We didn’t get back home till after 4:00, so we had a fire outside and had a family night complete with early beds so we could have a good school day Monday.

I’ve been riding Skeet in the evenings. I like taking him out in the harvested corn field and running him.
While I ride, usually the kids go out and pick up corn. There are a couple spots that corn got spilled, so Grandpa and Dad helped them pick some up.
Tuesday after Restmor we had a picnic. We didn’t even end up going to Restmor because Mom had a last minute meeting at Gpa’s house. I don’t think we were missed at the singing.
We had another rousing game of Capture the Flag with about 12 people on each side. I didn’t play very long. After I got caught, I went and got a drink and played with the little kids on the trampoline. It was much funner playing with the little kids than playing Capture the Flag. It wasn’t even possible to get the flag because there were so many kids on each team that we couldn’t even get into each other’s territory without getting caught. That’s why I played with the little kids 
.
I got out the horses for awhile.
Mom evidently took these on a walk one night.
The kids picked up corn, and I rode Skeet.
Wednesday I did some of my school on the patio. It was so nice out it was/is hard to stay in the house.
I let Jewel drive the four wheeler.
Josh drove it too……he definitely needs lots of practice.
