Saturday Dad, Mom, Jesse, Tori, Jacob, and I went to the home school convention in Peoria. We listened to the keynote speaker. He was pretty funny and I enjoyed listening to him. Then we went down to the vendor hall and did some shopping which was also fun. After that we went out for lunch which was really good! After lunch we went back and listened to another speaker. Then we went home. I really had a great time!!
A. Sarah came out to babysit the little kids. Here are some pictures of Friday and Saturday.
A. Sarah brought out Jewel’s birthday bars.
Then on Saturday A. Sarah helped the kids make a bubble tent.
Saturday night we went to a fundraiser concert for the Roanoke Nursing Home. It was very good!!
Sunday we were all healthy so everyone went to church!
Sunday after church Ben found this huge ant hill.
Levi, Ben and I went hunting for mushrooms again but we got skunked!!
Dale and Jane came out last night for supper and the evening. Dale gave us some lessons about our sound system. It was VERY windy!!
[Mom’s note - Aahh the Bubble Tent. Growing up we made these often; they are such fun! We always used a box fan and we don’t have one now, but ASK proved very handily that it can be done with round fans too! Thanks again ASK for coming out Friday and Saturday!]
[To make a bubble tent – secure sides of sheets with books/chairs/etc. Join sheets with clothespins. Clip sheet around fans, and turn on fans. Watch little faces light up with delight as sheets fill with air!!]
