So this weekend was a whirlwind of activity. . . very wonderfully blessed activity. First was Steiner Christmas at Grandpa’s. A great time. Next was New Year’s Eve at our house. Another great time. Last was a surprise 70th birthday party for Grandpa Steiner at the fellowship hall. The greatest time of all! Sprinkled in there was New Year’s Eve church and New Year’s Day church – both times saturated with Steiners, oh JOY!! I mean, it’s always wonderful to be in church; we always enjoy it and appreciate our church family, but bring home all the siblings and cousins I grew up with – and their families – pack a bunch of them all in a big bunch at church (NOT ONE BIT PLANNED!!) – and church was even more special than usual. And Grandpa Steiner thought his year was made on Day 1 with U. Jeff & U. Dave leading behind him, and Andrew, Levi, and Jesse beside him, and A. Sarah beside them! He liked it to say the least!!!!!! (I did too in case you wondered!!!!) I didn’t even try to visit with many cousins in church, because I knew I’d get my chance later (heehee). Plus we siblings were still ironing out last minute details about plans after church and how A. Jill & A. Sandy were going to get to the fellowship hall without Dad suspecting anything, and how U. Jeff & U. Dave were going to get Grandpa & Grandma there, and so on. And how about that A. Carol???!!! “Happy Birthday, U. Dick - - - I mean Merry Christmas - - - I mean HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!” But she recovered from her faux pas very nicely I must say, and Grandpa was indeed the most surprised I have EVER seen him in his entire life!!!
But I’m getting way ahead of myself.
So A. Jill was so kind to let me copy her pictures from her camera card (hooray for digital!!), and between her camera and mine (I could have copied A. Sarah’s too but decided 300 px was enough to edit and sort!), I have a lot of px that are too good to delete. So - many of them (not all 300 of course but still a lot) will eventually be posted, but it may take me a few days. There’s that time factor, you know, but I’m glad to say that since it’s finally COLD and windy (even a light dusting of snow this morning), the girls will be inside (recovering!) all day and can help me with the posting. Pretty painless, thanks to A. Jill’s expertise and camera!! Its self-timer and burst features worked great for most of us – but Abram & Josh aren’t too sure what they’re smiling at – a camera on a ladder??!
Grandpa had asked us all to bring our instruments, so we sang for awhile – it sounded GREAT! And, since most of A. Jill’s px turned out so good - - well - - - I’m posting a lot of them!

I like all these px – wonderful memories of a very blessed afternoon – but I think this last one is my favorite!
On to a delicious soup supper – then home for chores – then to church – then back home for another party - but that’s another post - - -
