12-11-10 Saturday

Late morning with Dad doing errands in Morton with Jacob, Ben, and Joshua, and Levi and Jesse working outside here. Girls and I did kitchen work and ironing – nothing exciting. Rain started mid-morning; with grey skies it just wasn’t a very pretty day out. ASK came a little after 1:00, right after I put Joshua down for a nap, and the rest of us went to Derek & Meaghan’s wedding at the Tremont United Methodist Church. After, we came back to get Joshua (he didn’t even know we were gone, thank you very much Aunt Sarah!) who woke up very happy from his nap and was cute as a button while Aunt Sarah took some pictures for us. Then we enjoyed Derek & Meaghan’s reception in Minier before coming home to spend the rest of the evening here in our delightfully warm house. The temperature dropped during the day and we found some slick roads while we were driving home.

Every year we set up the electric train when the first snow falls; so last night Aunt Sarah and the kids set it up - but they couldn’t get it to work. Jesse to the rescue! Ben told me, “Jesse is so smart. He knows how to fix anything!” Thanks, Jesse!

This afternoon all the kids had fun watching  - Joshua was pretty fascinated.

Great excitement at the thought of a family picture shoot.                                                                             

Although this activity is ALWAYS met with GREAT objection, these pictures prove that really, truly, deep down everyone enjoys it. (Right, kids?)

Okay, so maybe five shots of the same thing is a little much, but I like them all – yeah, you’re right; Joshua is the reason. If he wasn’t so cute I could delete the extras a lot easier – but he’s just adorable, so I can’t.

Waiting our turn to eat – supper was delicious smoked ham sandwiches, fruit cups, chips, relishes, and of course chocolate cake with thick gooey white icing for dessert. Yummm.

We had the best table – right beside this pretty waterfall. Joshua was good as gold, playing with his truck and running around.
