September 2025
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Mother's Day Weekend

Saturday morning. Just a "For The Record" shot of the pothos A. Sarah gave me a few months ago. Icr when though! It's been putting on a new leaf every week or so and it's been fun to watch.

btw that's an excellent book also

Finally sunshine! Perfect for Saturday jobs!

Fat lazy dog.

Work done, time for a ride with Jewel.

Josh took me to Uhlman Lane where I walked and he checked out the creek. I met Jewel & Skeet on their way back.

Took a few kids out for pizza before they headed to Elevate!, then found this crowd at a playground.

Yesterday was a lovely Mother's Day. Weather-wise and kid-wise. I am blessed with some pretty awesome kids. I enjoyed my afternoon walk while Dad, Sarah, & Jewel made supper and Ben picked up Grandpa & Grandma Kaiser. It was beautiful out.

Supper was delicious, and then after supper a few kin joined us.

And that catches me up to today. I wish I could say I'll keep this updated better, but I know better by now: it just doesn't happen that way. I'll get to it when I get to it. Meanwhile, have a blessed week as you let your light shine for the One who only is worthy!

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
Psalm 28:7
