Slept good! Dad and Jason went to the Granary to clean up and bring the manure spreader home; our 3 boys went to CIT for a quick mow. Here, we cleaned things up and got ready for the reunion.
Bean crew.
Basement crew.
Whole crew.
I didn’t get any pictures of Amber; she woke up with fever and was a pretty sad precious baby all day. We all went to the reunion and a great time was had by all (except maybe Jason and Carrie – but we’re glad you came anyway!), even though it was hot and we didn’t have the annual softball game.
Home for chores and a nap for Joshua. Ben napped too – late nights and early mornings give him headaches. We had the immediate Steiner family for supper, pictures, and evening.
Where are the pictures of Uncle Jeff’s family?????
When Jason and Carrie got back from supper at Uncle Dan’s, they put a couple of their kids to bed and joined us outside for the rest of the evening. Eventually everybody went home and we put kids to beds; after visiting awhile we adults headed there too.
A reunion favorite:
Strawberry Lemonade
Puree 1 quart of strawberries in high speed blender. Add 2 cups ReaLemon juice (generic is fine) and 2 cups sugar: blend. Add ice and water (about 2 quarts) to equal one gallon. That’s it!
We like to put ice and water in the blender and blend; it makes an icee (chipped ice) texture that is really refreshing. Or we just do water and ice, but don’t do 2 quarts of water plus ice; when the ice melts it really gets watered down. We took our 5 gallon thermos full of this and it was all gone by the time we left.
GREAT pictures!! There are some really ADORABLE ones!!

Thanks Carrie - but credit goes to Aunt Jill. She took most of these! (Most of mine have the date stamp; hers don't.)
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the pics! A (proud) Grandpa Steiner informed me of the family pics on the blog. Well worth the look--they turned out really nice! And since I didn't make it to the Reunion, it was fun to see those as well.
