In bygone days I would occasionally make my regular whole wheat bread into cinnamon bread. I kind of forgot about that until last week. Here's what I did:
Weigh out 2# of dough; press out and slather with soft butter (could use a rolling pin but why dirty it?).
Generously apply brown sugar and cinnamon.
Roll it up.
Crease ends,
and fold under so loaf is length of pan.
Let rise and bake as per plain bread.
Immediately slice, slather with soft butter, and eat.
Or.
Toast a slice like I did here.
Mmmm. Almost could be a dessert, but it's not. So I can have it for breakfast without guilt 😊
