Monday morning Dad and Levi went to work, Jesse studied, and everyone else (Mom too) raced through their job lists because Jesse had pronounced the ice was ready for skaters . By 11:00 or so we were all out.
The greenish spot is what froze last; I’m not sure why it looks so different from the rest. It was a lot smoother too.
The pigeon coop was cleaned out and moved to its winter home beside the rink (the pigeons haven’t returned to nest in it after a cat got in this fall).
Josh had a blast!
Okay, so we were all a bit excited!
It wasn’t sunny at all, but coats were shed anyway as time went by.
Jewel did pretty good by herself but preferred a hand to hold on to.
Josh was cute as a button in his little skates…
but didn’t fare too well!
(thankfully he was laughing, not crying)
He liked this little sled much better.
Prepping the ice for next time.
Needless to say it was an excellent way to burn energy and have fun making memories!
