These last two days have been beautiful, but this morning it looks very overcast. Wednesday is Mom’s piano lesson day so from 8 to 10:30 or so she gave four piano lessons (Jesse wasn’t ready). While she gave lessons, Kate and I cooked up chicken, made two fruit pizzas (gone a day and half later – definitely a favorite), and made muffins for supper (which we forgot to put out for supper), among other things. Wednesday evening we went to church. Yesterday I got to spend the afternoon mowing (hurrah – I love mowing) and working with Jacob and Kate in the shop making stakes. After supper we kids walked down to the pond for awhile while Dad & Mom walked. From the pond we moved on to the big dirt pile where we were waging a dirt-clod war until Levi jumped off one end of the pile and sprained his ankle (his OTHER ankle – not the one he sprained last year). He jumped on the four-wheeler and went home to Rest, Ice, Compress (wrap), and Elevate it (RICE). He knows the routine by now. It didn’t swell much at all since he took care of it so quick so hopefully it will heal fast.
Cutting pineapple for the fruit pizza.
Playing Oregon Trail.
Sarah winking or squinting with mother Spanky (whose kittens’ eyes are open – we can hardly wait till they’re big enough to play with.)
Four-wheeler rides (Kate is telling me about the starter Jacob fixed – touch two wires together and it starts right up – no more pull starting!).
Thursday evening.
Ben managed to flood his boots at the pond.
