Most of this week the weather has been beautiful. Monday we went to the creek/lake and Tuesday Anne came over for lunch and to look at some curriculum. Tuesday evening Mom and Dad took Josh and Jewel and voted in the IL primary and then we spent the rest of the evening outside. We were disappointed that Romney won IL but what will be, will be. Wednesday Mom took Jesse, Jacob, Katie, and Ben to Peoria for music lessons. The three littles and I stayed home and did school or played outside. Wednesday evening we went to church. We were all ready to go when Jesse thought thought Josh seemed a little feverish. Mom took his temperature and it was 98.9. She thought it was probably too much sun too fast so she was glad that yesterday (Thursday) it was cooler and it drizzled a little so the kids didn’t get any sun. Today it’s cloudy but warm so hopefully we can be out some.
Some pictures – Kaitlyn practicing.
Rascal taking a swim.
Making good use of our second piano.
Monday we went to the creek. All the kids ran down ahead of Mom so they missed seeing the snake that Mom did. Kaitlyn, Ben, and I caught it but then later we let it go because it was too big and wild to be able keep in a cage and play with. Ben also caught a quarter sized snapping turtle, which brings us up to three snappers.
A fine chalk train engine drawn by one of the many chalk artists residing here.
Sarah enjoyed holding Aaron for awhile on Tuesday when Anne was here.
Dad had to give Ben’s helicopter a try. The helicopter still gets a lot of use, and as I type this Katie and Jacob are flying it. While one of them runs the remote the other tries to mess it up by grabbing it or bumping it into things.
The sunrise one morning this week – photographed by Kaitlyn.
Spanky thinks she should live in the house; a lot of times when Josh goes in or out she’ll just walk right in. Or he lets her in on purpose.
Kaitlyn was washing the kitchen windows this morning, and the cats decided to come for breakfast.
Thanks for reading.
