March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Random

Our smart little puppy likes to spend time in the house with us. As long as she stays in the laundry room, behind her yellow yardstick, I’m fine with that. Amazingly, she rarely crosses her yellow line. Smart dog.

This was a test of my icloud account. After several hours of diligent research and patient (kind of) effort, I now have my (non-apple) PC connected to my icloud account; thus every picture I take with my phone can be instantly accessed by my computer and then downloaded to my PC. I know, I know, not a big deal for the younger generation, but for this ol’ codger this was a feat. Wore me out.

Speaking of ol’ codgers – I think Ben keeps Grandpa young. Or maybe it’s the four-wheeler that keeps him young?

Beautiful sunset to the east one evening. East?? Yes. I have no idea how this is so, but it was beautiful and I enjoyed it regardless.

Last Wednesday brought a crowd of littles. Cason and Bristol helped Jewel make something.

Ben loving the trampoline.

These two little workers couldn’t stop long enough to give me a grin.

But this little guy could!

The walking box was supposed to scare Brandi. I’m not sure how that turned out.

That’s it this time around.
