March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

8-25-14 Guess Who

So I’m getting farther and farther behind on this blog, arghh.

I only have about 300 px to go through - - some from the weekend and some from Grandma K from our Kaiser Weekend at U. Jerry’s. Oh well. They’re not going anywhere, and this hot hot hot hot hot day might be just the day to get caught up. We’re enjoying a day here with another little great niece, Jocelyn, so aren’t going anywhere to swim. No, we’re just going to enjoy this blessedly cool house. Might as well use it since we’re cooling it down, right?!

I have one picture from the weekend to share today. This wonderful piece of artwork was created on the ever-popular dry-erase board by an obviously talented Steiner nephew. After he was finished, we Kaisers looked at it and said, “That looks like _______ about five years ago!!!!!” Aforementioned talented nephew does not even know this person, but many of you faithful **grin** blog readers do.

Any guesses from you out there as to who this looks like?

First correct guess (correct according to us Kaisers, that is) gets a bag of candy bars.

Meanwhile, stay tuned. Maybe today I’ll get a few more px posted. Maybe.
