March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

1-7-13 Blog Birthday

Three years ago today we started this amazing thing called blogging. It’s been a good journey, and I’m glad to say we’ve enjoyed it immensely so far.

In the bottom of the screen is a number posted which changes occasionally; it’s a count of visitors to our blog. We can see the number going up; since it is programmed so that visits from our computers are not tallied, we often wonder who our other visitors are. We know who some of you are from comments you leave and conversations we have; but we also know that there are many of you that we don’t know at all – not online nor in person.

Whether you’re a cyber friend, a non-cyber friend, or an unknown friend, we’d love to meet you. If you care to, leave us a comment telling us your name, where you’re from, and how you found our blog.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

  3. I'm a blog visitor! Enjoy keeping up with your family this way and also your wisdom and encouragement. I'm from Colorado Springs and don't remember how I found your blog. Maybe through the Steiner Connection or from Mom.

  6. I visit your blog about once a week and at that time "catch up" from where I left off last time. I look at the pictures and read the captions. I like to figure out who is editorializing the pictures. I'm guessing Tori? A. Joyce

  8. I pop in about once or so a month and try to catch up on all that's been going on in your lives. It is very interesting and I enjoy it so very much. Then I tell Dale some of the things on here and we reminisce about "Tremont" times and those we know whether slightly or well. We're happy for you that another soul has turned to the Lord in repentance. We are thankful to count all three of our children as faithful followers of Christ as Ben was baptized last July (2012). I found your blog via visiting other 'Tremont' blogs and am so glad I did. Thank you for all the work you put into it. It is a joy to read.
