According to plan, we were on the road heading home by 5:15 a.m.(mountain time), with no firm plan to stop or drive straight through. Dad drove, I drove, Levi drove, Dad drove, Jesse drove, and now Dad’s driving again. We’re wanting to push on and get home tonight, but it looks like it might be 5 a.m.; and we’ve been making great time – 11 hours so far (it’s 7:30 now) and only 3 stops for gas etc. We were planning 20 hours, but it’s looking like it might be more like 22. So we’ll see – we might yet stop later; we might not. We’ve had a very uneventful (THANKFULLY) trip so far; nothing more exciting than leftover ice cream cones has happened which is very good for 11 hours on the road.
Joshua enjoys breakfast…
…and his midmorning ice cream snack (we had to have it early in the day as it was pretty soft already). It was a good treat which we all enjoyed!
And if you forget spoons, knives work just fine for those who don’t get cones!
And we drove…..and drove….and drove…. Past mountains, hills, massive hayfields, beautiful scenery, picturesque farms, on and on and on we drove.
We did McD’s for supper, did some Bibletime as Dad drove (Levi read), then settled littles down for a few dvds before they all fell asleep pretty peacefully.
And we drove on….
