March 2024

March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Preschool SS 2020-2021

I copied this from Jenny's blog (thank you Jenny 😉) and purposed to take my own group photo to share with all parents. Did I do this on Sunday? No I did not. Will I remember to do this in the next 8 weeks? I certainly hope so. But my forgetter is getting better all the time so we'll see.

So I started teaching ss in October of 2019; taking over for another teacher, I just kind of jumped in with little warning or preparation. A class picture didn't occur to me. We got through Christmas and winter; and then just when I was getting the hang of things, March 2020 hit and that ss year was essentially over. So I have no picture of that class. But maybe their kindergarten teacher would share one with me, hmmm? I will look into that.

Anyway. This is most of the class, and every single one of these kiddos is pretty special. They are so stinking cute and give such big hugs and say such cute things. This age has been a blessing to teach. Even though I'm a little tired by the end of the morning. That's just a lot of energy sitting there, you know?! Sarah helps me every Sunday and I certainly couldn't do it without her. Thank you Sarah💗
