March 2024

March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Memorial Day Weekend

Last Friday evening we had a few little ones here awhile. Always a blessing.

Some sort of new game they're playing. Doesn't it look fun?

Saturday morning Sarah took these - she and Jewel got to stay with three littles while a painting crew made more progress at Jesse&Lucy's.

Little chunker is almost one, believe it or not. And man what a personality. This grandparenting thing is pretty fun, you know?

All sorts of progress happening.

Lucy and her little helper brought lunch.

Seems like it was cool out. I can't really remember though.

This was just before Jason helped himself to something on Echo's plate. He's learning to share ๐Ÿ˜Š

Back to work - - -

Sunday evening we celebrated Sarah, A. Sandy, and Grandma Steiner's birthdays at U. Dave's. It was a beautiful evening to be outside.

That is a couchful of beauty right there.

Memorial Day - another work day.

Jewel took over weed whipping all the pasture fences.  A huge help.

Dad and Josh were off to do some fencing somewhere.

And Jacob and Grandpa sprayed a few weeds.

We headed to GGK after supper then. Quite a bit of cuteness right there.

A nice drizzly evening - good for a singalong.

Back home - backyard view.

And that was the end of a busy blessed and beautiful weekend.
