Hello Steiners. Not much new news here since the last Connection. Levi&Echo’s three littles came through a bout of chicken pox with no scarring. Jesse&Lucy (with help) have made major progress on their new house. I’m not exactly sure at what stage they are or when the move date is; but I know progress continues. Tori is patiently waiting for her turn to own a house and collecting a few furniture and household items along the way. With nine piano students, she keeps busy. Jacob keeps busy at work and helping Jesse. Kate and Ben are counting down the days until their online college semester is done. Time will tell what next semester holds. I don’t think they know for sure yet. Kate continues working at Aberle Farms (dairy); Ben has started working parttime at 360 in their r&d department. Sarah is almost done with school which is good as she has also started doing yard maintenance for Tim at some of the properties he manages. Jewel and Josh are starting to wrap up subjects as well which is good because days are slowly getting nicer and they’ve also started mowing around here. Jewel turned 15 a few days ago… so…. Yep. Our 8th round of driver’s ed starts soon. Tim assures me that we survived seven new drivers and we will indeed survive the eighth as well. In the last connection I forgot to report a really special event, when Sarah and Jewel were baptized in January. We were thankful they could make this public confession of their faith and commitment to Christ. They, along with Tori, Jacob, Kate, and Ben, enjoy young group activities whenever they can. Those six and I also have participated in choir this winter. We have one more practice, then a program this weekend, and then that’s it until next fall. Truly an enjoyable blessing for many. Fruit tree pruning is done and now we wait patiently to see if we’ll have any fruit. We have no garden in yet but seeds are waiting patiently for the soil to dry out and warm up. My rhubarb came up pretty nice and a few volunteer zinnias are doing well. Horses, dog, cats, and chickens are doing fine. Tim is busy with work and managing things around the home place. Right now he, Jewel, and Josh are moving some calves around; it’s almost weaning time. Interpret: a week of sleepless nights as the silly things beller all night long. Might be time for some earplugs. I keep busy with random everydayness and sneak in a puzzle now and then. My mom has been doing well at Restmor. She plays the piano quite a bit; it gives her purpose and blesses other residents as well. We were glad she was able to join us for Easter dinner and evening. It went well for which we’re thankful. It’s been nice to see a few tractors in the fields again. Spring is coming! And I really don’t know much else so I’ll call this a wrap for this time. I always enjoy hearing from each of you.
