Yes, I had a wonderful Mother’s Day in spite of being home from church with three coughy schnotzy littles. Thankfully they were feeling fine but I was glad to contain the germs here at home and listen online…even outside with the windows open and the Emerson turned up high. Love that Emerson radio. Not quite a Bose, ok ASK, maybe not even close, but it’s still pretty good. :)
Josh was so pleased to help make breakfast for Mommy.
Morning shenanigans…a 36” battle. 36” belt versus 36” yardstick. Whatever.
More shenanigans.
It was a beautiful day for lunch outside.
Beautiful flowers from my family (and a few peppers too) -

More beautiful flowers from my family -
I love love love it all!! Thank you, dear family!!
Jacob grilled awesome steaks for supper – Dad and the kids did ‘er all. I did NOTHING and loved it :)
Farming boys -
After dishes (of which I again did NOTHING!) we enjoyed a wonderful evening outside. The weather was soooo pleasant, and perfect for flying a kite (thanks Jesse for fixing our faithful kite)(which we’ve had for about 10 years!).
And the sunset was beyond description.
Beautiful blue skies -
Josh was so amazed!
This is my absolute favorite picture of all the 46 in this post. Her delight was so precious!!
Sarah’s turn -
Love my Daddy!!
Did I mention the sunset was gorgeous?
Jewel almost got carried away :)
Goofy -
And oh so precious -
Rascal still barks like mad at the kites…even this turtle one that just couldn’t seem to get flying.
Just watching -
ASK took this – pretty cool with the moon.
Yeah, love my teenagers too. They’re pretty good sports when I want to play with my camera :)
Quote of the day (by Jacob)(referring to having a fire with s’mores): “If Mom wants to do it, Dad doesn’t have a choice!” (Oh really????!!!!!!!! That’s NOT quite the way it works, Jacob!!)
ASK had the camera for these fire pictures…I don’t know how she did it, but some of them are pretty neat.
Heehee – Josh just has to check to see if the bag is really empty.
“Mom, don’t you know you’re not supposed to take a picture of someone right before he dies?”
Time for good-byes.
Thus ended another wonderful Mother’s Day!
So many pictures! Thanks and here's a few comments:
ReplyDeleteEmerson radio? I thought it was a Phillips. Even if it's not a Bose, it is pretty nice!
And Jesse . . . you better take down Jacob while you can, because it looks like he's going to catch up with you soon and then you might end up on bottom sometimes!
Great picture of Jewel's delight holding the kite.
I'm glad you like the fire pictures. I think they could have been a little better, but then, it was too dark to be playing with the settings or to see how each picture turned out.
