September 2025
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

February Part 1

So actually this first picture was dated 1-31 but that's just close enough, y'know?

This little guyπŸ’™

This is how he lets us know he's ready for supper. Precious.

Walk-turned-skate on a beautiful cold sunny Tuesday. Ice was excellent.

Must've been on a Wednesday.

Yes. Because Kiowa, Flint, and Jasper stayed to skate awhile after lunch; and Megan was able to come again too. Another beautiful day on excellent ice. Such good exercise.

That night - I was so looking forward to skating under the moonlight. Turns out night skating isn't quite as good as is day skating for me ... because I couldn't see the cracks and bumps and really didn't want to fall so didn't go fast enough to stay warm...

This crowd had a fine time though.

This from Kaitlyn ~

Beautiful days.

Mid-winter Steiner Supper at ASarah's.

These two are so busy together. An adorable trouble duo is what they are😍

I'm so glad these littles always like books.

As does this cutest.

Pretty sure the big hand is Kaitlyn's.

Also Kaitlyn's.

This is why men don't live as long as women.

While I got the picture, Kiowa took the video -

πŸ‘€

Just more cuteness.

Jason & Travis helped Grandpa and UJosh unroll a bale of hay one Saturday morning.

Books books always books.

More Dry Days

A few of the Tuesday crowd.

These from Staci, thank you!

Sarah watched Ellis and Harrison awhile that evening.

Wednesday morning - here come the solar panels.

No px of lake crowd, very strange of me Ino.

Thursday. Busy morning then Jewel, Josh, and I had some lake time.

Friday
Tritt was completely smitten with Cade.

Which is understandable bc Cade is completely adorable.

Josh went fishing with Levi, Kiowa, Flint, and Jasper that evening then. No fish were caught... just this thing πŸ˜‘ and Jasper's frogs.
