March 2024

March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Grandkid Daze

A few weeks ago, this beautiful young couple took a few days away; we were happy to keep their boys. It was a busy and full and blessed and tiring few days; and we'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Sunday 10-29.

There's that book again 😆

Monday 10-30.

Jason's nest 😅

These three buddies play together so well.

Farmer boys.

It was pretty cool out. They lasted about a half hour which was longer than I expected.

This was his fourth time doing this same puzzle...he's a good little puzzler.

Tuesday 10-31.

Cutest helper😍

Peek-a-boo!

I think Jason wants a pet turtle...

Sharing cookies and juice 😄

Another cold day.  Very glad Josh was willing to take kids outside awhile.

Wednesday 11-1.
Another good little puzzler. That's a hard one but he did it solo.

Now how's that for irresistible😍

Jesse & Lucy picked up the boys around 1:30, and Echo and her crew left soon after that. The house suddenly got very quiet. But that's ok. I love every minute of boisterous loud and I love every minute of peaceful quiet. So thankful to be blessed with both.

Thursday 11-2. Two boys back again for the evening!
