March 2024

March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Rain, Birthday, Beans, Company Picnic, Drayers

Last Monday 6-26 was cool but this crowd absolutely did not care.

Echo sent this!

Tuesday was a little warmer. This was the haze day. Canadian fires affecting us is a little mind-boggling but they say that's what it is. And I had a headache much of the day so that checked out...
This crew didn't seem to mind much though.

Sarah had four little Baers here that night.

Wednesday was hazy and cloudy and rainy-ish so we had lunch at the house. This is about all the rain we got though.

Brandi was impressed with Jesse&Lucy's new hood ornament - a bird that was in the wrong place at the wrong time😖

Thursday morning. My birthday. And the best birthday gift ever - rain.

And a lovely puddle.

My morning -

More rain that afternoon. Beautiful. We've been oh so dry.

Friday morning muddy muddy beans and shoes. And I didn't get an early enough start and It. Was. So. HOT.

Company picnic that night - kids had a blast.

Strangely I got no px of grandkids. I guess bc I was hanging around the shady spots ha and they weren't. It was pretty hot.

I took Echo and Skye home before the fireworks and then I headed home too; Dad sent me a couple px later as they waited for fireworks.

Drayers rolled in awhile later. Kids weren't even tired!

Saturday started out rainy -

but we headed to the lake when it cleared off later.

Sound check and supper -

then a good turnout for the LSM fundraiser concert later.

Beautiful evening.
I was blessed.
God was glorified!

Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised. Psalm 113:1-3
