March 2024

March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

More Dry Days

A few of the Tuesday crowd.

These from Staci, thank you!

Sarah watched Ellis and Harrison awhile that evening.

Wednesday morning - here come the solar panels.

No px of lake crowd, very strange of me Ino.

Thursday. Busy morning then Jewel, Josh, and I had some lake time.

Friday
Tritt was completely smitten with Cade.

Which is understandable bc Cade is completely adorable.

Josh went fishing with Levi, Kiowa, Flint, and Jasper that evening then. No fish were caught... just this thing 😑 and Jasper's frogs.

Solar Time

Monday, June 19. Bring on the solar system.

View from my spinach patch. Last picking - - it's been a great spinach year. Thankful to have many meals in the freezer.

On to the lake. Water was great, kids had fun.

Time to leave: "What? We just got here!"

Progress back home.

Back to the lake after supper!

Kids had a blast on the  Lily Pad that Rollyn brought.

Tired eyes😌

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Dry Days

Monday June12 crowd on a cool cool day. Why the smoothie pops then? Bc they LOVE them. Even if they freeze whilst eating them ha. First they tried pillows to keep warm,

then a blanket. I was working in the kitchen and had to keep moving... Idk if they ever got comfortable😅

When I suggested it was pretty cold for the lake I was met with resounding resistance. This crew doesn't know cold. They had a blast. Again. After three and a half hours when it was time to leave: "What? We just got here!"

4square after supper

😍

Normal Wednesday crowd plus Roxy and her crew.

Normal Wednesday activity on a cooler day.

Thursday.

We have many many cats/kittens rn. If you're local and need some super cute friendly healthy feline companions, lmk.

Odd sun at times. Canadian wildfires?

DRY.
Seems like we need rain. Good thing the Master Weatherman knows best.

Friday evening.

No idea what we did that Saturday as I have no px and I don't remember that far back. Nothing special I guess. Some fishing in the evening while the girls were gone somewhere.

O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
