March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Weekend

Friday morning started out with a visit to the dentist to get Josh's filling replaced (the one that he had to get after he lost part of a tooth to a hockey puck. Idk if I reported on that yet). He was a trooper. Again. Josh has had a rough month or so.
He earned a trip to Eli's so off we went. Parallel parking Great White is always a good challenge.

Soon after we got home, kids skated at Pekin with a small crowd. I spent some time with AB instead.

Later then, Ella was cute as a button and happy as a lark (and proud as a peacock?) on Diamond all by herself. And Diamond was, as always, a champ.

Thanks someone for px. Idr who took these.

Friday night pizza then a birthday for Jason!

Lucy made this beautiful cake!

Sarah babysat Aria & Jade for awhile. They fit right in and weren't ready to go home when Tami came to pick them up.

*kids really do play with toys as well as look at books!*

Saturday morning inside jobs for girls and me; then Jewel helped with manure hauling and other outside jobs.

Rayna and Oakley didn't want to get off the horses...

but Oakley liked the cats almost as much as she liked the horses.

Too busy brushing to look at me😄

Later - BSJJ did a timber romp. This stunt started out well -

and ended up to be quite entertaining!

Pre-spring days over and back to cool again. Still a beautiful day for a walk after church yesterday.

And a ride on Diamond.

We had a nice evening at GGK then but I got no px, owell.

And that's about it. Have a wonderful week praising JESUS. He alone is worthy!
