I'm not on an ego trip
I'm nothing on my own
I've made mistakes and often slip
Just common flesh and bones
But I'll prove someday just what I say
I'm of a special kind
For when He was on the cross
I was on His mind
A look of love was on His face
Thorns were on His head
Blood was on that scarlet robe
And it stained a crimson red
Though His eyes were on the crowd that day
He looked ahead in time
And when He was on the cross
I was on His mind
He knew me, yet He loved me
He whose glory makes the Heaven shine
So unworthy of such mercy
Yet when He was on the cross
I was on His mind
He knew me, yet He loved me
He whose glory makes the Heaven shine
So unworthy of such mercy
Yet when He was on the cross
I was on His mind
Yes, when He was on the cross
I was on His mind
I woke up this morning with this song on my mind so decided to share it.
Powerful.
And - - - -
a few pictures (which is what you’re interested in anyway, right? ); this was Saturday night (maybe, yes just maybe, I’ll get caught up one of these days…).
Ladder? What’s a ladder???
There’s that special young couple again – love having them visit. Even if they have to sit on a desk .
This would be called an “ussie,” or more specifically, a five-fie.
Skeet has this window thing figured out!
Very cool but beautiful evening for a walk to Dave’s pond.
And then the music started –
some sang,
some listened,
and some sang awhile, listened awhile, and then played Dutch Blitz awhile.
And the music continued.
Then we decided to show our West Coast guests what Midwesterners do for fun -
and that’s all folks
