This week has been a week of visitors, the kind we like best - - little people! Monday Kate watched four sweet Rassis, and, just like the last time they were here (so they say; I really don’t remember this at all but kids are pretty adamant on it), the power went out! The windy rainy ice storm took power from a lot of folks around; with the extent of the outages we were pretty convinced it would be awhile before our power was restored. Happily, though, we were wrong! All the long-term preparations we made were unnecessary, and we were so glad to have power back on by midnight. I was reminded once again that I would not have made a good pioneer.
This is the only picture from Monday’s visitors – Lincoln and Ben were puzzle buddies for awhile.
I didn’t take other pictures of the cords and lamps stretched throughout the house Monday because I thought I’d have more time to do that Tuesday – thankful that I was wrong; and most of the cords, lamps, and flashlights were put away before we headed to bed Monday night.
Highlight Tuesday was another adorable little visitor who never lacked for attention!
Wednesday morning brought snow and a crowd of Sauder kids; it wasn’t much snow but the kids enjoyed it thoroughly.
Now today Kate has our Rassi cousins here again, and, except for a few brave kids who went out earlier (very briefly at that), it has been a happy warm crowd inside. Yes – it is finally cold outside, and I’m finally enjoying the woodburner coziness again!
And that about catches us up again, and that’s just about it for 2015.
May God be with you all in 2016!
