On Tuesday, Betty brought her children after lunch for a lake afternoon (while Kenna napped here with Tori) followed by piano lessons for Emily and Megan. Judging by all the smiles, this crew had a great time!
Tuesday night some creative minds found another way to beat the heat. This game is called “car wash.”
Wednesday morning, Alissa brought her girls for piano lessons; after lunch we headed to the lake for some swimming and boating. Until the thunder and lightening chased us home . The storm slid by right north of us, but the sky was so ominous and beautiful as we raced home that we were all glad to be home regardless. At least Alissa and I were glad to be home. I don’t think the kids were too concerned, but they’re not supposed to be, so that’s ok!
And did I mention it was blistering hot at that point? Hot and humid. The corn loves it. Every evening I think it’s 6” taller than the day before. Amazing.
Someone likes these cats.
That’s all.
