Spring is finally here! We are loving it! Levi ran the soil finisher in the 70 around the house for Uncle Randy one afternoon last week.

Boss longingly watching the pet mice.

Kate & Ben went down to the creek one night last week & caught a good supply of minnows for the fish tank. They also caught some sunfish from the lake.

The tomatoes are looking good.

?????What is the point of this maneuver?????

After the wild steers smashed apart a big wood gate while being weaned, Jacob & Kate built a new one. The steers will not be smashing this one up too easily.

Thursday night it was drizzling & we ended up sitting under the pine trees in order to stay dry.

Kate & Ben set up the snake habitat for the summer.

It is already occupied to boot.

Saturday.
Dad fired up Grandpa’s old Minnie & gave some rides.

Planting corn.

Another batch of rolls was made & devoured by the next day.

Sealing the patio.

At the homeschool convention Friday Mom got a FridgeRover. Our fridge isn’t magnetic so we used the white board.

Saturday afternoon Ben, the three littles, & I created a large system of ponds in the sandbox.

Note the impressive overflow system.

The horses are happy that the pastures are growing again.

Lake fun.

Jesse & Josh’s fish trap. They catch quite a few but they’re all very small.

The rope swing has been much improved this spring. We can hardly wait for the water to warm up enough to drop in.

Kate & I took the horses out for a while.

Some of the more adventurous (or stupid?) went ahead and jumped in the lake. They didn’t last very long because the water was pretty cold.

The three littles played on the beach.

Kate & I found a litter of kittens in the haymow. Hopefully in a couple weeks our other lonesome little kitten will have some friends.

Josh and our lonely little kitten. We haven’t thought of any good names yet.

Three cool farm boys.

That’s it.
