There’s no better way to spend New Year’s Eve than in church worshipping our Creator, and, like I mentioned before, it was extra special having so much family there. Glen had the service which was yet another blessing; it’s always nice having him and his family back in Tremont. Too bad MN is so far away!!!!! The sermon was thought-provoking, singing was awesome, and fellowship was sweet, although we didn’t stay around very long because we had food to prepare back home before family came.
(Thanks again Aunt Jill for sharing your px!)
Before church – lots of help wrapping little smokies. Did you know if you spin crescent rolls around really fast, they get long and skinny? No, I didn’t know that either. But now I do!
Since we had an early supper at Grandpa’s, everyone was ready to dig in to an impressive buffet of YUM after church.
Littles upstairs -
Smiley Seth!
Middles downstairs -
Bigs wherever they wanted -
Good fun and fellowship -
Another bunch of Perplexus fans!!
The Hearts tradition continues -
Everyone had a blast playing Around-the-World!! So fun!!!!!!!
From what I heard (I didn’t play very long), U. Jeff is going to be a good U. Kenny with a little more practice! The kids thought in about 20 years he’ll be as goofy as U. Kenny (but U. Kenny might be even goofier with a walker and false teeth!!!).
Grandma is always ready to play UNO!
Josh was pretty impressed with his big cousin Andrew: “I like you!”
I think he’s hooked!
Andrew and I had almost beaten Grandpa and Jesse at Euchre when the New Year rolled around; we all watched clocks and computers turn to January 1, 2012 and said Happy New Year to each other. It was a momentous occasion. Then I promptly got set a couple of times and lost us the game! Which was okay, though, because I’m still a little rusty, and anyway, I was tired and ready for the game to end so everyone could go home and we could go to bed. Which they all did and we all did; by 12:16 the house was dark and mostly quiet (I had to text the downstairs bedroom a couple of times before the boys (Samuel and Aaron too) finally settled down!!!!).
Happy New Year!!

****Josh is watching me blog: “Dere’s Andrew. Dat’s Uncle Deff. Uncle Deff nice.” :) ****
Again, great pictures! It was such a nice evening of family, food and fun. Playing Around the World was so much fun - it reminded me of days gone by when we played it with Doug, Anne, Karen & Denise. Thank you for everything! And Joshua's comments are so cute, too.
