March 2024

March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Life Beyond The Pictures - April 2025

 Hello Steiners

The only news from the Kaiser corner of the world is that there will be another precious grandchild joining us soon! Jason & Kaitlyn are expecting their first little one in September; Kaitlyn will finish up her preschool teaching position in May and doesn’t plan to go back this fall. Everything else with other kids is pretty much unchanged. Tim & I enjoy blessed busy days. We’ve spent much time pruning fruit; at this point it looks like there will be peaches and apples both but we’ll not count our fruit before it’s picked.

And that’s about it this time around.

March Part 2

More of the same... cuteness overload.

When strawberries are on sale, you make strawberry pie -

and strawberry jam.

I had great help.

Meet Goliath.
He is actually two separate philodendrons: one is an Imperial Red, and one is an Imperial Green. The shorter one to the left is the Red; his leaves spike and unfurl while red before gradually turning green. The Green starts green and stays green. And that's about all I know about Goliath. I really enjoy watching him grow. He was about 8" tall when I bought him from Kroger for $7 a couple years ago. Now he's about 2' tall. That amazes me.

Still more cuteness.

"Grandma I think this dough has too much yeast in it."

He was making banana breadπŸ˜…πŸ’—

"study" party

not sure those two words are compatible...

This little girl's smiles just melt me.

and everyone wonders why that chair is broken...

And that's a wrap for March this year.

March Part 1

Busy days. Per the usual. Some of these px are from other people (mostly Sarah & Jewel); so they aren't in exact order but it'll buff as always. Busy days - but pretty routine. And routine is good.

And just a headsup - there's a whole lot of cuteness in this post ~

This from Natalie ~

Sarah's class at the Pekin Ice Rink, participating in the annual end-of-year program.

Savannah & Allie came to ride with Jewel on a sunny afternoon.

😍

Jewel had a great week with the ICCBUyg on a spring break work team to TN. That's a pretty special group of young ladies right there.
