March 2024

March 2024
Over the years, we've always compared our family life to a wagon train heading west. Just as everyone had to do his part to get to Oregon years ago, so everyone in our family must do his/her part to make our journey through life successful. If somebody climbs in the wagon and lets the others do the work, we just don't make any progress. We all have to pull our weight and work together. Along the trail we find lots of pebbles that make for a smooth ride and some bigger rocks that jar us a little; we hit the occasional pothole that can slow us down. But if we purpose to search diligently, there are countless gold nuggets and precious gemstones along the way as well. This journal is an attempt to preserve some of those precious moments for our children, and our children's children, as together we travel this trail called life.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Beautiful Week

With the warmer temperatures but no humidity, days this week were stunning. Jewel & Josh were at LeviEcho's Monday morning, then home for school and chores and a 4w ramble.

Sunset got more and more stunning. It was hard to go inside to make supper.

Full moon made for a gorgeous walk after supper.

Then this💗

Which I love and will miss when Ben gets married. So glad though that I've been able to enjoy it as long as I have.

Tuesday morning started out just as beautiful as Monday ended.

Brandi also was spayed today😞. She's doing fine so far.

Wednesday found a few faves here💗

A few more came a little later and were so cute racing to join their cousins on the haybales.

Sunny & 75d makes for happy kids everyones.

Thursday ride to see Josh's South Grove project.

Yesterday morning Sarah had two sweet helpers here for awhile. They were so interested!

Supper prep😊

💗

Eagle Josh was a hit with his niece and nephews. They didn't know what to think!

😆

🎵🎸💕

😍

And that's that for another week in the books... kind of. These px barely scratch the surface of the busyness of the week. They don't show the walks, the schoolwork, the voting and ensuing discussions, the meal prep (except for yesterday, ha), the errands ran, the freezers cleaned, Christmas shopping done,  wedding preparations, etc. This blog is just a peek at life. If you want to know the whole story... well you just can't, bc it's not possible, so that's that, and this is
the end.

Farewell Great White

Last weekend started Friday evening when these three ruffians showed up💗

It was super nice out so pre-supper activities burned some energy.

My phone camera on reverse screen got a cute response from Jason💗

The more the merrier.

Grandpa is the best playground.

At first Aria and Jade just watched with interest...

...then after a bit, Jade sidled up all shy and sweet and climbed on for her turn. It was so cute.

Meanwhile, Ben & Sarah went with a Morton group to the Sights & Sounds Theatre in Branson. Their glowing reports encouraged us to go as we've never been there. Maybe someday.

Saturday morning kp and cleaning projects, nothing new there.
Saturday afternoon - farewell Great White.

Hello Little Gray.

An extra hour on a beautiful Sunday morning meant Dad & I got to take a walk before church.

Wonderful day of baptisms at church! Then home to rides and walks.

And a delightful houseful for supper as Coreena's folks and Matthew&Julia joined us.

Someone is being passed up by someone else...
😄

That's all, folks.
