Farewell, September

 Saturday 9.28

Janelle came to get a few apples, and she brought these two along. It was so good to have them back for a little while!

Clay said, "I never got to ride alone when I used to come here!" 

That's because you were just a little tyke back then, buddy...

now he's about 12😵

Not really, but man they have both grown up so much.

My Saturday job ~

After supper, this crowd started looking through old pictures while I gave Dad & Josh haircuts. Icr where Sarah & Jewel were.

Home kids + Wesley shenanigans ~

In spite of his fine form, Josh came in second to Wesley (I think). I didn't stay for the conclusion.

My latest trial. Remember this? Well after a month of rest (oh wait, I've been picking and cutting and sorting apples like there's no tomorrow.... that's not rest😓), my tennis aka pickleball elbow is now tennis aka pickleball forearm/elbow. I'm trying to baby it so it can heal. This brace is a good reminder to not use it. And thus ends the apple dehydrating for awhile😞

So Monday night when we cidered - I mostly watched and took pictures whilst everyone else did the work. 

And that's a wrap for September 2024.

Monday 9.23

Morning walk.

Evening walk. 

And I have no idea what happened in between. That was far too long ago😏

But I do remember why I took this picture. It has my favorite colors: sky blue, field golden, grass green. I love this season.

I also remember this Tuesday. It was a very foggy walk. I missed my normal morning views.

And then a bit later I had such sweet helpers who really wanted some pumpkin pie.

So happy to shell corn for Grandpa's cows💗

That evening before church - 

we picked this beautiful tree clean. I didn't want to, bc it's no longer quite so beautiful...I was hoping they'd stay on for a couple weeks yet. But the apples were falling and bruising, so it was time. And they are oh so delicious. 

Thursday 9.26

Busy Thursday. 

School and housework morning, errands over lunch, then I spent an hour or so in Kaitlyn's classroom during the afternoon, then home to make supper, then to Grandpa's 94th birthday party at Chestnut Place.
